This is an old Motorola, I don't know the model of this phone or the original carrier, but it does connect and dial giving you a message about not having a number. The batter can hold a charge for about 5 hours and charges overnight.

Comes with Phone, Charger (Wall), Battery. No Boxes or Manuals!

I doubt I'll get much for it but make an offer.
 
You might want to check to see if that phone is analogue. AMPS, the analogue cell service system is in the process of being shutdown. AT&T and Verizon have already ceased AMPS operation and the others will soon too so it may not even work anymore.
 
Five hours standby! Wow, that is better than my old Motorola phone at the end. I would charge it for several hours, and after 20-30 minutes the battery was dead again. It is one of those models which in theory can accommodate four AA cells, but I gave up and bought another phone instead. One that is much smaller and even have different ring signals.

Oh Yea, my original cell was a Nokia 100!

Still have it and it should still have a good battery, car charger, leather cover.

Too bad the analog service is going down.
 
I have one of those phones, or one similar to it, called a Piper somethingorother. I asked about it at the local Motorola dealer, and they told me that it can be reprogrammed as a radio iirc. Can't remember exactly what they said, but something to that effect. Mine holds a charge for about half an hour then conks out. I get a message from Verizon telling me to activate my phone :)

I have an old Tandy phone, too, and that's my favorite one of the handful that I have. It takes a pack of 6 AA batteries that slides into it like a huge bullet.

Last time I used my Nokia 100 was years ago, but the signal was so clear since nobody was using analog band back then. They did tend to be heavy and only had battery power for a half dozen hours or so.

Thing is with new phones they have too many gadgets, and the sounds is not that great (too much compression?).

That phone is analog. I own the non-flip version.
