need s/w and general info/input on the Royal Alphatronic computer. I saw one last night, theoretically could have bought it, but instead told the old lady I'd try to get the best price I could for her (and the contents of her basement! Oi!). Accepting offers. It's located in West Hartfor, CT USA. It has the floppy unit. Condition unknown, but probably works and is in very good cosmetic condition.

what's it worth? Any images you're willing to share? I'll reciprocate w/whatevers up there (all I can recall seeing was a Peachtree accounting package, but there could be other stuff).

No idea as to the value, as I got mine quite some time ago. They're not particularly common, but that doesn't make them valuable. I have the Peachtree application for it.

I don't have any specific images, though I can certainly take them at some point.

Here is a very old shot in passing of just the monitor: http://www.flickr.com/photos/loguidice/606415289/in/set-72157600456963111/ and then the keyboard/CPU and disk drives along with some literature in the file folder: http://www.flickr.com/photos/loguidice/606574564/in/set-72157600456963111/ and from the other side: http://www.flickr.com/photos/loguidice/606415115/in/set-72157600456963111/

I got about $75.00 for mine on e*ay a couple of years ago. Just the console, no periphs, docs, software, etc. I was actually kinda shocked that it was worth that much, but several bidders were on it. Guess they're more collectible than I thought.

I find it a terrifically fascinating CP/M system, frankly if for nothing more than it's unusual "half stroke" keyboard. You would think that the keyboard would be the hallmark of any CP/M system, considering the latter day 80 columns and emphasis on text output, and the fact that most of the competition by the time of the Alphatronic's release had really nice full stroke keyboards...
