I've been trying to troubleshoot the 2SIO card recently and was having a little trouble with programming this chip and luckily found some test code in one of the Altair manuals recently - and the datasheet(which helps). This card uses the 6850 uart, as with most uarts of the day is not compatible with each other. The test code in the manual was just raw octal code with no comments or assembly mnemonics. So I uploaded an updated version to here that's updated with the octal code and hex code along with the assembly mnemonics and several lines of comments to let you configure this uart in alternate configurations.
The 2SIO test program is short which you can thumb in from the front panel. The files are located in the new folders for this group, 'Test Programs 'amd 'Datasheets'
