My name is Mark and was introduced to computers around 1989, using standalone 286s and Mac classics networked to Sun servers for DTP duties. The first PC I bought was a 286/16 with 1 meg of ram, 40meg hdd and vga monitor. Had an XT at one stage as well as a 286/12, a few C64s as well, bought for the kids for gaming 
. The 286 was upgraded quite a number of times and ended up as pentium 133 IIRC. Was the first and last PC I've gotten new. Just use other folks cast offs now.
I've aways had curiousity about the operating systems/GUIs and have gatered a collection various versions of Dos, geoworks, Windows, OS/2 and Linux distros. Still have a few cardboard boxes with older hardware. You know the things- mobos/monitors/ i/o card/vga/soundcards and printers etc. Goodness I found 3 dotmatrix printers I'd forgotten about up in the attic just recently
Have a 486DX2/66 allinone Compaq, P133 laptop, P200mmx slimline HP desktop and later kit.
Some of my fondist memories where from the '91-'96 era. Just got a hankering to trackdown an early deskpro slimline with 286/386 processor for some unknown reason.
