Cutting a few loose out of the collection.

Please feel free to make an offer. If prices are required I will try and think of one and edit the post!

This IBM 5150 has:

Full RAM banks
MEMO-576 (unknown memory card)
Black & White Parallel card
Floppy controller card
AMD D8088 CPU
Original full height floppy drive
Teac FD-55 floppy drive

I have no idea if it works or not. When powered on the fan spins, floppy seeks, and I hear a POST beep.

Are you in Canada? I haven't had much luck shipping large items up there.

If Gerry is passing, I am interested, also in Canada, pm your price/shipping to Mississauga ON

Honestly guys I rather stick to the continental USA. I can't UPS to Canada (way too much paperwork) and the post office would get me for at least $40 due to size and weight.

Bump! Will part the system out if someone wants something from it.

So, did ya end up scrapping it for parts?

Gotta love this place ;-) - 2 guys in Canada trying to talk you into shipping it across the border but when I offer one (with monitor BTW) in Canada, 15 minutes from Ioncannon (so no shipping or risk of damage), nobody shows any interest ;-)

Oh well, I think I've found someone anyway; we'll see.

Nah, don't have the heart. Rather see it go whole to a loving home!

I have 3 IBM 5150's now, I don't use them, just restore them to their best possible condition and leave them for looking at.

:)

MikeS, must have missed the thread, would have pmed you lol. Oh well, keeping a lookout.

Do you happen to have an original keyboard for this? I probably can't afford the sytem or offer what you would want for it, but I am interested in the keyboards.

I might have an XT IBM keyboard. I was asking $40 for the desktop plus shipping but shipping would be a ton!

I want one of these. I just got an IBM PC AT with the original keyboard given to me. It will be delivered on Monday. I got it because I want the keyboard for when I do get a 5150, or 5160. I don't want one of the IBM computer that had an internal hard drive and OS. What I am after runs on two 5 1/4" floppies. The 5150 was the first computer I started working on in college, along with the Apple ll series. With the aquisistion of the AT keyboard I have a pretty good start. I know these boards are somewhat hard to find, and when you do find them, they are expensive. Getting this one free makes me feel a little better about getting the main CPU, hopefully a working one. The display will be another story though. I haven't seen any selling for less than $350.00 recently.

How much are you selling the 5150 for? I definitely want one of these and will not part it out.

I just obtained an Apple lle computer in working condition too. It came with the original monochrome monitor and dual floppy deck that sits between the monitor and the mmain CPU housing. What truly amazes me is that there is no burn on the monitor at all. I'm hoping to find an IBM system in close to this condition.

I've posted this before but just as an FYI I've had several pleasant transactions with aaron over the years so I can at least vouch for him being an honest and good seller. What else have ya thought about parting with Aaron?

I now have the keyboard and a working IBM monochrome monitor. Now I am in the market for an IBM 5150 or 5160 computer. Do you still have yours for sale? I am definitely interested.

Still for sale, yes. I was asking $40 + shipping. Do keep in mind this is HEAVY!

And thanks barythrin! Been a while hasn't it? haha

I'll be selling off all my junk though I don't have much pre-P4.
