Here is a list of my collection of Macs (and other Computers). Most of these I got when someone was moving and was going to throw about 50 machines away. I took them and pieced them together as most were missing parts.

S/E 30
Mac IIsi x3
Mac IIcx
LC
LC II
Performa 400
Performa 6116 x4
Performa 6200CD - My first computer!
Performa 6300CD
Power Mac 4400/200
Power Mac 8500/120
Power Mac 7300/180
Power Mac 9600/200- Currently my Mac file server
Power Mac G3
iMac Bondi
iMac DV graphite
iBook Clamshell
Pink iBook

Mac clones
UMAX Supermac
a Radius clone (I haven't really looked at it yet.)
While it doesn't have many vintage computers in it, It is still fun to tinker with! ( thought I would like to have a bigger collection and more space to set them up at)

And finally other computers I have, (in no particular order)
IBM Aptiva 2144
Tandy 1000SL
Tandy 1100FD
Vectra486/25n

Also I have these non vintage machines,
Core i3 gaming desktop
HP a1203 secondary desktop
Pavillion 6530 running puppy linux as a Home server
a PII Compaq used in the garage to hold parts manuals for tractors and such (my other hobby)
and a PIII that I use for various programming experimentation.

I collect many machines though my favorite is Apple. I also collect CPUs from junked computers.

Hey nice collection you got :) What do you do with those CPUs you collect? I started collecting them recently and would like to see if I can fill up a wall with them lol

Thanks! :) I have done a few things with them, I have used 8 chips to make a coaster for setting your drink on lol (each on has 4 on it, one has AMD K5s, The other has Pentiums. I used some of them because they had something wrong with them such as broken pins) The rest I am either going to mount in a little display case, Or clear plastic showcase type boxes. I also thought about using the chips to do something cool with, like make a table top, which I think would be a cool way to display the chips( not the cartridges tho, would be way too high of a table!) Is there any brand that interests you? How many do you have so far?

Those are nifty ideas. I used to use old 3.5 diskettes as coasters till I found out water was leaking though them so I switched to bad CDs. As for brand, I don't really care what brand at this point because I only have 3 and two are still in computers. Too lazy to take them out right now lol They are all Intel brand so I might be interested in getting a few AMDs. Luckily I work at a storage facility and I usually find old computer towers laying around lol How many CPUs do you have in your collection? I had an old 386 computer that a coworker gave to me and I took out the CPU but tossed it out by accident while cleaning my room :( I do regret having my roommate take that computer apart because it was in mint condition. My coworker said she paid over $6k for it when it was new but she told me that right after my roommate took it apart >.<

Ouch! I hate when something happens to an otherwise mint computer, I had a 486 laptop that was in awesome shape, but the plastic was old and the first time i opened the lid there was the horrible sound of cracking plastic, and alas no more mint laptop! :/ Though if your looking for vintage computers for free, I suggest you look at freecycle, As I have gotten 3 pretty big hauls (a whole car load). Which is why I have so many machines lol. As for CPUs I have:

(Clock speed) (bus Speed)
x1 K6-2 450Mhz 100Mhz

x1 Athlon 1333Mhz 266Mhz

Early Intel
x1 i286 12 Mhz
x2 i386 33Mhz 33Mhz
X1 i387 16-33Mhz 33Mhz
x1 i486DX 33Mhz 33Mhz
x1 i486DX2 66Mhz 33Mhz

Pentiums
x1 Pentium 75Mhz 50Mhz
x1 Pentium 200Mhz 66Mhz
x1 Pentium 200Mhz 66Mhz

x2 Pentium 2 300Mhz 66Mhz
x1 Pentium 2 333Mhz 66Mhz
x2 Pentium 2 350Mhz 100Mhz

x1 Celeron 400Mhz 66Mhz
x1 Celeron 500Mhz 66Mhz

x1 Pentium 3 450Mhz 100Mhz
x1 Pentium 3 500Mhz 100Mhz
x1 Pentium 3 667Mhz 133Mhz

x1 Celeron 800Mhz 100Mhz

x1 Pentium M 1.5Ghz 400Mhz

x1 Celeron D 2.93Ghz 533Mhz

x1 Pentium Dual Core 1.60Ghz 533Mhz

x1 Winchip 200Mhz

that's what I have that I remember, I know I have an 8088 around somewhere, but cant find it yet. I also have some ARM processors out of various things, such as printers.

Dang that's a lot of CPUs You could use them to tile your kitchen counter lol I just joined the local freecycle. Hope I can find great stuffs :)

Lol Yes I have a few! I seen one guy on the internet had 4000! wonder where he keeps them all at! And if your freecycle is any thing like the one around here you should get lots of stuff! You could place a wanted ad also, that might get the ball rolling :)

A while ago I had the opportunity to go through 100+ computers (I only discovered 1 486 though: all the rest were Pentium 1 through 3) but I decided against hoarding CPUs.

I tried out freecycle here locally but querying the ads posted in the past year or so delivered very few computer items: I guess different regions of the US have different approaches on dealing with electronic waste.
