Cocktail cabinet games

this is kinda the wrong forum+website for that, but i can actually help because I wrote a tool called romlister, and I just happened to have updated it today.
http://www.waste.org/~winkles/ROMLister

here's a list of cocktail, 3 button games with a single joystick that MAME supports. I removed the clones, which means you'll get puckman and not pacman here.
Note also that just because the game supports a cocktail mode does not mean that every one of these games had been released in a tabletop cabinet.

well, your question is why I said this:
Note also that just because the game supports a cocktail mode does not mean that every one of these games had been released in a tabletop cabinet.
Lots of game companies made the software for the game that could handle cocktail mode (that just means that the screen flips and the controller inputs changed to use the other side of the cabinet's joystick+buttons.) That's fairly easy to do in software, but meant that a game company had to 2x their costs for buying joysticks and buttons, so lots of the games that can do cocktail were not necessarily available in that cabinet type.

So the answer you're looking for is No. I'm not certain a list like what you're after exists. It's like asking for a list of every car from every manufacturer that was available in Blue.

Cocktail cabinets are fairly desirable, especially as MAME cabinets because they are a bit more home friendly. Thus, they can sell for $50-$200 even for a gutted cabinet. I paid $75 for my gutted galaga cabinet about 6 years ago, and prices have only gone up.

You will have a much bigger audience if you ask questions here:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,1.0.html

Also... check out arcade-museum.com... their lists are relatively comprehensive, and they have pix. And sales lists. And want lists. And their forums are much better suited to answer the types of questions that you're asking, as they're dedicated to the restoration and preservation of classic ARCADE machines rather than of classic computers ;)

(yes, just poking a bit of fun, dude - like Hargle and others, I'm into Arcades as well - just don't have any at the moment)

"the Killer List of Video Games"/KLOV as Mav pointed out used to be the defacto in arcade systems and sales/prices. There used to be a really nice list they had of arcades by location and games for sale. Actually per your other thread the one I let get away was the 6 player dual screen X-Men arcade. For a time that was going for $250 regularly.
