Free + shipping: sorry/sordid Tandy 2000 and AT & T 7300 docs (about 60 lbs. worth)

The T2K is yellowed heavily, orange in reality, loads of screws are missing. Doesn't work (no!). Dual floppy, has a color graphics card. Not sure if any other cards. Hopefully to someone who has the intention of fixing it. We, the vintage community, can help you. I have a tech manual, but you can't have that, and it ain't scanned yet (by anyone on the net AFAIK). We'll help you though. I will confess though you _do_ have your work cut out for you.

That's a really big box of 7300 docs. The kind of box you find at Costco or BJs. Really big box. I just as soon toss them, but am holding out for someone who's only goal in life is to obtain them.

All ships from 08758. About 35 lbs on the Tandy, 60 lbs. media on the docs. ONLY contact me by e-mail, rampaging_green_hulk@yahoo.com (remove underscores and the spaces they occupied).

General question I'm sure folks are wondering but any idea what documentation you have in that box? Pretty heavy but I'm sure worth it if someone doesn't have any.

60lbs seems like it'd be duplicates? Just curious. I do have a 7300 but also have a few software books with it so I can't tell what I'd be missing.

if you only have a few you're missing a whole bunch. There are no duplicates. I repeat there was a lot of documentation for the 7300.

Am I going to open another box? How much trouble am I going to go through seeing I'm giving the stuff away. You should be able to dig up some details on your own seeing you have the unit.

Nah, I'll surf around and find a list somewhere. Not trying to inconvenience ya either :) I do understand. It's a great and generous offer you're posting. I was trying to psych myself out long enough for someone else to sweep in.

remember this is media rate. Before very long I'm going to chuck it all. Except for the large format technical manual prolly.

Don't mind my crankiness. Momma has me painting under her eaves and I'm deathly afraid of heights. I'm all nervous and tired!

OK, I've got the box of 7300 stuff. There was also a 7300 mouse and a tape drive controller in there. Titles are:

I think the extra mouse is here somewhere, but I can't find it at the moment. I do have the tape drive controller, an extra DOS73 card, an extra Starlan card, spare keyboard, a spare motherboard & riser, a shelf of manuals and disks, and a complete, was working 20 years ago 7300. I just haven't had the guts to fire the thing up. :) If it doesn't work I don't have the time for it right now. I've been watching ChuckG's thread, if he can come up with a way for a PC to read 7300 disks, I'll image the 7300 and 6300+ disks that I have.

Well IMD will handle both the 8-sector and 10-sector 7300 floppies. (vide both ATT unixpc sections on bitsavers).

Most of the 7300 install disks appear to be CPIO format, not SysVr2, which is what I'm stuck with.

What's more, the SysVr2 filesystem on floppies may have interleaved sectors. Figuring out the structure is really tough.

GottaLottaStuff & Chuck(G),

Thanks so much for your responses, I would certainly be interested in whatever might surface in your efforts, and I am very appreciative!

This will certainly help with my latest chapter of my project:
