I have received this motherboard:

SAM_1561.jpg

It is a 386sx-25 with the Headland HT18 chipset, but the BIOS ICs have been removed (and lost). The keyboard controller is missing.

Anyone has a BIOS dump of this board?
Thank you.

Look a awfully lot like mine AM386-25.
Except mine doesn't have a PLCC but a ZIF socket.
I'll see what i can do.

[Edit] Nope mine is a VIA chipset. [/Edit]

Also a very good site to mirror: http://sannata.ru/bios/

His board looks like it had two BIOS chips (low+high, or odd+even), and all the BIOS images for Headland-based 386SX boards on those Russian sites are single-file - is there a quick and easy work-around for this?

I will grab this site too, and burn them on a dvd, if anyone wants the image, just ask.

Possibly two chips-odd and even is a carry over from the 286. somneone said that a 386sx was designed to MB manufacturers coups built a "386" using 286 parts ? not sure.
however soemn software for copiers / burners will separate the file to two parts.
second thought. I once bought 10 mb for $10.00. one dis not have a bios. another was damaged or did not boot.
anyway I took out the bios and moved it to the empty ( no bios) mb.,
they all were some kind of P1.
it came up as a 486 with wierd stuff on the screen
I had a floppy set up to autoflash w/o a keyboard/ It worked anbd the board was ok after that., Some reading of fine print on the mb was required to find out what mb it was.
I do not know if HEADLAND is a copy of some other chipset. if so it will help to find out. Possibly the name not the number ( model) of the chipset was the only change. If you have other old mb what can you lose ?
