I am thinking of building a bench system with my left over parts. I have a H9273 back-plane. Looking at the documentation it appears that the CD side is wired the same as my H9276. From what I can read the difference is on the AB side in that it does not support the extended LSI bus. Am I reading that correctly?

Can anyone point me to a schematic for the H9273?

What are the wiring differences to upgrade it to the extended bus?

I only have the back-plane and am looking for a card cage. If anyone has one they are willing to part with please PM me.

Cheers!

See attached pictures.

You need to bus the extra data lines.

Connect the colored dots as shown down the length of the backplane.
Only the first row in each diagram is connected together for clarity.
You'll need to buss the green, brown, yellow, and purple dots together as well.

You're basically adding the bus lines for BDAL 16 - BDAL 21

Note: Depending on your revision level, BDAL 16 - 17 may already be bussed.

Just a tip: when I added the data line wires to my q18 bus, I was able to wire wrap from one post to the next. There was just enough pin length to get a few twists around the pins on the back. (Lou, the master wire-wrapper would be proud). But, of course being a solder fan, I went back over the connections and soldered them up.
