It's BIG it's BLUE and weighs about 100 lbs. Is anybody interested in buying an IMSAI VDP-80?

I guess it's worth as much as you want to offer.

Back a loooong time ago, my partner and I developed software on this machine!

This really tugs at my heart strings!

There's been a few inquiries about the machine, but no offers yet. I will post some more pictures tonight. I have looked inside and it appears to be complete. I have not tried to power the machine on, I see a frayed wire on the power connector to the motherboard and decided I wasn't going to try turning it on. There are some disks that come with, a few labeled CP/M 48k for VDP-80 and some database software. I do not have any manuals however.

I am in Minnesota, and I called FedEX Ground to see what it might cost to ship this thing. They have the ability to pack it with expanding foam. They provided an example shipping quote, for a package with dimensions 25x15x25 weight 105 lbs, $98.56 to the east coast, I did not inquire about international shipping.
I don't have a reserve price in mind for this machine, just happy to get whatever I can and hope it sees new life in a new home. More pictures to come.

Here are the pictures I promised. Looks like the machine has a 64K RAM card in it. I also tried to get a shot of the frayed wire I see on the motherboard power connector.

I'm not even in the country but I really can't pass up the chance at my first /real/ S100 machine when shipping is that good and you can assure it will be properly packed.

PM sent.
