Hi folks!
I have a very nice Tandy 1000TX that I enjoy playing old games with. However, the Tandy CM-11 monitor is too bright, even when I lower down all brightness. This is specially annoying for the white color. What could be wrong with this old guy?
Thanks.

If you look at the list at [here], the symptom of excessive brightness in a monitor can have many possible causes.

The cause may even be a bad solder joint. If the symptom comes and goes when you hit the monitor with the side of your hand, then that would suggest a bad solder joint. Obviously, do not hit the monitor too hard.

I see that someone has posted some CM-11 repair information at [here]. Unfortunately, there are no symptoms listed against the two blocks of capacitors. If you were to try replacing all of the capacitors listed there, there is no guarantee that it would fix your CM-11's symptom.

If I was given the monitor to repair, I would (observing safety):
1. Visually do a thorough internal inspection.
2. If that did not reveal a problem, obtain the circuit diagram (from [here]), then diagnose using an oscilloscope.
