I am looking to get a set of case screws for one of my Tandy 1400 LT models. From the looks of it the screw major diameter is 3mm x 8mm length (after the head) so that's a metric M3 x 8mm?

M3? I thought these were screws, not bolts. Could be wrong.

I have a CompactFlash PCB for these btw :D

They are metric screws 3mm thick by 8mm long, used my other 1400 to measure them.

Yes I know about your board, think you sent me one that didn't work in my units (sees the CF but does not boot).

I have a ton of machines and projects and it might take me years or more to get around to finishing one up (missing screws are low priority until it just bugs me).

If it doesn't boot you need to erase the boot sector using (eg) fdisk /mbr from a DOS 6 floppy :)

Made a set of DOS 5 720K disks and tried it. Without the HD card it boots fine, with it installed (and BIOS jumper on) it hangs.

Menu comes up as
A FDA C HDD F6 ComDtct F8 BootROM
XTide Universal BIOS XT+
@C800H
V2.00b3 2013-6-08
THNCF250MMA

On the card R3 and R5 were never installed, R2 is barely holding on

Viking Compact Flash 256 is installed

No idea, I just wondered. The BIOS was built on the slightly later 1400FD which has V20 chip. Though, I know of at least one 1400LT that is working with it (with system BIOS 1.4 IIRC).

Now I'm intrigued as to the need for the screws, if it's not been opened!
