Computer nut says hello.

Where do i start ? :)

Well my first computer was an Acorn electron i still have it now and i geuss from there i have never lost my love of computers.

I have quite a few computers sat in my loft or as my wife calls it the tip
:wink:

I have commodore 64, 16 600 and 500

i have ibm PC AT and 2 ibm ps2's

Compaq deskpro 8086 and shortly a deskpro 386 won on ebay.

i have a couple of amstrad computers

I also have a lot of 486 and early pentium computers all in various states of condition.

I never throw anything out i am also a big fan of early microsoft software
especially windows 3.1 i have 3.1 3.11 and 3.11 windows for work groups all on floppy disc.

i really need to make a list of what i have thne i can post it and let you know if i can help anyone out with spares i will.

CTRL-Z in Emacs et. al. suspends (but not ends) the program and puts you back to your prompt. I've read that it was custom to suspend your program at the end of the day rather than ending it and starting it up again next morning. There might not even have been a shortcut key to close down the editor?
