Beats, Freaks, and punks.

As a serious socialogical study into the diverse multi-cultural backgrounds of posters, here is a little quiz and discussion:

Did other people fit you into any of these above categories?

As we all know those that weren't them were labelled them and those that called themselves them weren't them by a mile!

As I contemplate A Touch Of Gray,
I pray that St. Stephen will answer me,
I think about what A Long Strange Trip Its Been,
As I walk along a Black Muddy River of life,
My Box is sometimes full Of Rain,
I sometimes feel like I'm Casey Jones on a runaway train,
But I know no matter how Dark the Stars look tonight,
I can always return to my own dear Terrapin Station,
And I know I'll be there soon,
Until then I'm Looking For A Chateaux,
21 Rooms, But 1 Will Do,
To Lay Me Down.

Confused? Tell us about your origins!

How come DeadHead isn't on the list? (Heh! I was just listening to In The Dark about an hour ago).

<big snippage>

The main distinction we usually made between freaks and hippies was the non-violent thing. A hippie will turn the other cheek, but a freak will smite back when smitten, or sometimes even smite first.
(Sometimes confused with long-haired rednecks, but that isn't on the list either).

I chose hippie because I've often been confused with one (mostly by "pigs").

I was definitely a rocker. Whole nin yards with torn jeans, black t-shirt sometimes with a logo and sometimes without, long hair but NEVER a mullet, goatee sometimes, even. In my high school grad pic I tied my hair back behind my head in a ponytail. I will try to scan it and post it somewhere for all to see, the people here will get a kick out of it :)

So smartly dressed, Nathan!

What it all boils down to is that there's them and there's us...T'was ever thus!
(I know, my shrink tells me that that's paranoid thinking).

'Nor HOON or Phillip Head's annoying son Richard.

Cheers,

I wish I had been drunk but I wasn't. The page loaded okay for me. The errors were there but the picture was up. The top pic is just a little logo I had for the title, Carr's Taverne, a stylised thor's hammer. Try it again.

That pic was from '94, so I am a kid compared to some of y'all.

Poetry.

Poetry.

Oh very cool!

I've written some myself, perhaps it will turn up here one day.

Has anyone else?
