Yes I am indeed trying to install msdos5 onto the hdd. I did change the labels on the disks and it finally worked! Thank you all so much who helped me!
Omg thank you, I can now finally see the Msdos 5 installation screen, but there’s another problem, It says Insert the disk labeled MS-DOS 5.0 Disk 1 into drive A, but it’s already in it, do i have to rename the disk to something else?

But the computer still will not boot, actually it now says Remove disks or other media, and when i do that it again says operating system not found
There’s a weird problem going on. I’m trying to do what you say but everytime i select io.sys and copy it to my disk or even copy it to a folder it never shows up. I even checked in the dos prompt on this temp windows machine i have and it doesn’t show up. What’s going on?
