How is it that “PRESS PLAY ON TAPE”, with its implicit message "you can go and have dinner", was less irritating that Windows' hourglass?
Most of those old Tape Games for myself used to say "Please Wait" - perhaps visuralising the word "please" was more relaxing than some ol' Hour Glass - as shown on another boring episode of "Day's of Our Lives"!
