Neil from RMC briefly talks about Amiga as a joystick maker at about 1:01 in: He mainly talks about the Amiga Joyboard, but if you google that, then you'll find a photo with the Joyboard with what appears to be your joystick attached. Looks like it's called The Power-Stick.

If there has been a heavy impact on the keyboard, often some of the tracks on the underside of the PCB get cracked, even if it's not obvious from visual inspection. However if you get the keyboard schematic from the technical reference manual, you can find the broken tracks using a mulitmeter...

Judging by its white colour and the location of the badge on the upper left of the keyboard, I'd say it was a TRS-80 Model 12.

Any experienced TRS-80 Model III/4 owner knows that the disk shouldn't be in the drive (with drive door down) when powering on/off the computer, otherwise the disk can become corrupted. Does anyone know technically what's actually happening for the disk to become corrupted? Is the drive head...

Yeah sorry, I was only referring to Model 4 mode. Yeah you're right, the blocks just move one full line at a time so there isn't any weirdness as it moves down the screen, although it does use hollowed blocks so you can see the different pixel heights. See attached.
