Kudzu Kid

Now retired after 40+ years in IT. Now I go to Dr appts & funerals! :)

Big smattering of "IT" experience.

Software experience (in the past - not necessarily fluent today) in (no particular order):
APL, BASIC (UNIVAC & TrueBASIC), HTML, CMS, RPG, COBOL, SQL, Many Mac OS flavors, UNIVAC EXEC 8, Honeywell GCOS, UNIX (HPUX, Sun Solaris {certified OS & hardware}), Perl, Python, DOS 3.3, Windows NT, Windows 95, 7, 10, 11. ServiceNow, and more that I've forgotten by now.

Hardware experience:
UNIVAC 1108, 1110 (user & admin acct), A brief affair with a Hazeltine 2000., a couple years using IBM 360 / 370 (user), Cromemco Z-2D and a Wang I can't remember. Currently own a Dell XPS Desktop (i9). Numerous Apple products certifications & past familiarity with ( ][+, //e, //c, Lisa, Newton, Mac family, LaserWriters), foermerly HP printer certified.

Random Factoids: Big Daddy, Cat Lover, Power Geek, Professional Photographer, Cancer survivor, Congestive heart failure patient.

Worked as service tech at retail computer stores (ComputerLand, etc.) and misc Fortune 500 companies (Bell Atlantic Business Systems, Bell Communications Research) in roles systems analyst, IT service center manager, to name a few.

The first terminal I used was a Model 33 Teletype acoustically coupled at 110 Baud to a mainframe 30 miles away. Yes, I remember paper tape and punch cards. I also have a reel of 9 track tape in my bookcase, lol.

Presently doing photography for "beer money" and to supplement other vices (Looking for a Cromemco Z-2D, etc.) Business is slow, but that's the way I want it right now.
