I've recently obtained 2 drives and one controller card and have conducted some initial refurbishment (cases through 3-4 dishwasher cycles worked a treat!). I've removed the leaking battery packs which are simply 6V NiCad sub c packs which I don't need as the setup will not be used on the road etc.

The floppy drives have a wire which disappears into the drives innards whilst they appear to be standard Shuggart interfaced (34 pin) drives. I'll ID the drives ASAP, one is 1/3 height and the other a little smaller but not 1/4 height.

I'm intending to replace the drive with a floppy drive emulator.

Some documentation is here:

See here for an intro:

Does anyone have any other manuals etc?

Not a Chipmunk owner, but I am a Backpack owner, which I am guessing does what you’re wanting to do, except it’s much smaller than a Chipmunk, and it’s probably cheaper than a Gotek or other floppy emulators too.
