Well, after doing some testing, I realized that DS0 signal is only available on the internal connector but not on the external one. I hooked up the Gotek to the internal connector and it worked!
My next step is finding a way to house the Gotek instead of one of the 8" drives.
Hi! I have a TRS-80 Model 12 and a couple of non-bootable 8" floppies and I am trying to get the computer to boot off of a Gotek with FlashFloppy.
My Gotek is connected to the TRS-80 through the expansion port using Antoine's 50-pin to 34-pin converter board...
I have a couple of 3com SDSL modems like this one (https://www.ebay.com/itm/333753270135).
I am trying to hook them up directly using a copper wire pair and see if they can establish a DSL connection. Unlike ADSL, I understand this should be possible with SDSL modems.

Thanks for this post. I got a T1910CS a couple of days ago which had the same power issue. Changing the capacitor in the pictures fixed my problem (attached a picture of my less professional soldering job).
