According to the boxed speaker @syzygy found, it's 2.5" (written in the box). The back metal panel is 3 1/16" tall (adding the top bend) x 6 3/4" wide.

The transistor is a 2n3904. The speaker looks to be 45 ohms. I think the part number mentions 45 but there is no specific ohm marking. Hope that helps. Santo
