Hello, there was a software/hardware called The ZippA to boot from parallel port ZIP drives even on XT class computers. There used to be two versions:
1. with modified MBR on the local harddisk load some function and then the system can continue to boot from the ZIP drive before an OS is loaded...
Hello, does someone have drivers for the Microsoft Soundsystem soundcard for Windows 3.x, probably for MS-DOS as well?
The soundcard and it's drivers is very rare, for example used in the 486(slc) based Olivetti M4 / M6 desktop PC series and Olivetti Philos 4x notebooks.
This is until now the oldes known version of 86-DOS / QDOS, download here (Serial number 11!).
But the image is 8 inch 250 kb so I don't think you get it to run on an IBM compatible PC. Other versions of 86-DOS:
0.34 klick klick
1.0 klick and extracted single files klick
1.14 klick
They all...

I have a GEM installation and there I know that I have to swap one file to switch the graphics mode. This is the command for how to switch between CGA and OGC in...
Hello, I have a VCF 6502 Badge V1 and basically now it works, I also can communicate with it using for example Putty. So I get a prompt and I can say
S HELLO WORLD
and it will display the text on the LED display.
With the instruction @ it should jump into BASIC, but it does not. It's still...

Syntrex of New Jersey (New York, USA area) made a CP/M 86 based wordprocessor, called the Aquarius II, which was sold in Europe as the Olivetti ETS 1010. I am looking for system disks for this machine, any language is welcome, specially european (Olivetti) disks. (Not sure if those for the later...

Word 5.5 (and 5.0) supports the Olivetti M24 / AT&T 6300 640x400 graphics mode. I tryed that recently and I was disappointed, it looks like that graphics mode driver requires to have a machine with GO329 / DEB (Display Enhancement Board) to support 640x400 in 16 colors. If I install Word 5.5 on...

Hello,
Olivetti made some PC for AT&T. So for example the AT&T 6300 is nothing else as the Olivetti M24 in a different color. Until now I know the following AT&T PC models, but not for all of them I am sure which Olivetti model it is originally:
6300 -> M24

Hello, here in Europe DEC (Digital Equipement Corp, the one with the VAXses) sold Olivetti PCs under their name. They were exactly the same, just different branding. For example DECstation 320 seems to be the same as Olivetti M300-10. Only the front panel of the Celebris/Venturis machines was a...
Hello, does anybody knows a japanese website about Olivetti computers? I found it 1-2 years ago and I downloaded some intersting things over there but unfortunatelly I did not bookmark it. Now I want to visit it again, but I can't find it anymore, even not in browser history.
