Correct. Same revision etc are interchangeable. Seen a couple cards where different firmware versions are incompatible but frequently doesn't matter. Some brands different similar models are interchangeable. No list exists to document what is compatible. If things work a lot of people don't...
Looks perfect from 6' away. Logo is around 3" long. With reasonable viewing distance you can detect that it has a couple pinholes in the solid areas. The 50 year old boxes aren't perfect anymore either. I don't think I'll go to the effort of getting a screen print. If it doesn't hold up or I...
Updated with my results. I tried a slightly different product which worked pretty well. Normal waterslide would avoid the missing toner but either will have slightly visible label or need clear coat over it to hide. Would protect graphic better since printing below film. Not sure how it will...
Did try the waterslide option. When buying it I saw this waterslide version that is a form of toner transfer so decided to try it. If it didn't work would remove it and go with the normal.

I had noticed the same thing between my VT100 boards. Its possible that some chips were more efficient. Datasheet says 140mA typ 225 max so 0.7W typ 1.12W max. Could power it up on the bench and see if it gets as hot.
If this is friction feed check to make sure the paper isn't slipping. I had to use rubber rejuvenator on platen and pinch roller to make paper feed reliably on other printers.
The case ones match and seem to work fine. Looks like material they are made out of may be different. Don't know if that's good or bad. The black ones holding the chassis didn't want to come back out to take comparison picture but they looked like a good match. Didn't attempt to verify if all...
Haven't bought stuff recently but can give a little info on things to investigate. Name brand older equipment can have better flexability on display and triggering than some of the modern equipment. Old equipment has limited memory depth. Some only stored changes which could make the limited...
Top row of pixels isn't set in normal characters. https://archive.org/details/bitsavers_decterminaT100TechnicalManualJul82_24218672/page/n127/mode/2up?view=theater. You can see the special line drawing vertical bar character 23 does set that pixel.
Looking to fix mine and found what I think are the parts

The back uses same grommet. Back plunger is custom so if its not broken you will need to carefully extract it and reuse with...
I have a couple VT100 terminals and boards. One of them has a cut in the edge fingers and key in the connector that prevents the boards all my other terminals use from plugging into it. Terminals are VT100-AA on the back.
The normal board is 5413009 5013008E or D without cut. The keyed one is...
Had my VT100 out so checked mine. E10 does not get that warm on first board I tried. When I put in one with AVO that chip when finger was over die was toasty but not hot enough to worry about burning finger.
If you can trigger off video/vsync you can see a clear pattern difference between setup...
Box has a clear polyurethane finish. Looked online and think I understand waterslide decals. Looks like I can buy clear sheets and print with my printer. Is the Iron-on a form of toner transfer with only the toner transferring or is there a clear backing that also bonds? I find a lot for...
I've made a reproduction of Calcomp plotter accessory box and was wanting to know if anybody has experience with reproducing a logo like this and could recommend a method.
Suspect it was screen printed originally. Might be able to do that but seems somewhat involved. I've done toner transfer for...
No knowledge of this particular machine. Can you manually select the proper hard disk in the BIOS screen? Possibly type H or cursor down to it and hit space?
chkdsk /f will clean up the checkdisk error. Error isn't causing the problems your are seeing.
The error you show this time for chess is an I/O error. That wasn't in your previous list.

Since 'cannot load xy, program too big to fit on memory' you were getting with the bad memory board I would be suspicious of hardware problem. The disk controller verifies using the sector header that the correct sector...
