1400LT - How switch video to external monitor?

Someone asked me how to switch the video to the external monitor port on a R-S 1400LT (laptop screen isn't working) and since I don't know it at all and couldn't find the info in a quick Google search I thought I'd ask the R-S experts here.

LCD not working was due to dried-out electrolytics in the internal PSU, in my case (1400FD note). The -22V line was dead (voltages are slightly different in the LT, IIRC).

Sorry, it was 2:30 in the morning. I have the PDF manual for the thing.

From the manual:


I-2 External View


10. Monitor (LCD/CRT) Selector. This selector allows you to select either a internal LCD or external CRT. When
you start the system with the monitor switch in the OFF position, the default display is LCD. Set the switch to
ON before turning on the system to use a CRT as the default display.

Note: The switch appear to be at the rear on lower left hand side.
