25 years of MS Word

Ew, OpenOffice(which is actually a pretty good word processor)

I'll stick with Word Perfect 5.0 :)

Or IBM's Write Assistant

Microsoft still got Word 5.5 for DOS avalible form their web-site. There is a link at the "Microsoft Word" page of Wikipedia if anybody is interested in how user-friendly it is (It runs just perfect in Windows XP at least, the Tutorial even works too!).

ew ms word. i'll stick with my openoffice.

Try to write "StarWriterTeam" and press F3! (See: http://www.eeggs.com/tree/9996.html )

Okay, anyone who wants a copy of the October, 1983 PC World MS Demo diskette can get it here for the next 3 days.

It's a self-extracting diskette image file. You'll need a 360K diskette and DOS to do the deed, although once you've done that, you can copy the files anywhere.

Interesting that a limited-capability edition of Word fit on a 160K SSDD diskette in 1983, with 5K to spare...
