3 weeks ago i bought an sony MFD-17W-12 floppy disk drive with the 5.25inch expension bracket.. Behind it there was a `card edge` extension board.. Type of this board is CE-2..
The power cable for the 3.5 inch floppy drive is soldered to this board.. Recently (with today) 2 / 3 days ago i mentioned some formatting floppy disk problem.. ( i think that this floppy drive was specially made for AT machines) but i planned it to use it on my 8086 XT machine.., it gave me sector 0 not found problems and an other error.. Today i decided to test some floppy drives.. One regular one did it just fine as intended.. So i decided to remove that CE-2 board..
I see that there is no connection on pin 2 and 6 to the connector what needed to put in the interface of the floppy drive.. How do i modify this board so it would also work on an XT machine? I dont want to leave that board off the 5.25 bracket.
