Does any exist in the modern age that at least an industrial firm sells? Regardless of wacky prices, my original, never used LCD unit has lines down the screen; so, no go.

Given its an early LCD , most likely not. Could check Epson 8088 laptops, those had a very similar screen. Who made the bare lcd, Seiko? Sharp?

No. This was an old auction from a school warehouse eight years back, and I have only started to look at it now.
You can look on Panelook.com, and see what's available in the realm of LCDs. They have almost every type of panel that is currently available.
