I've looked through a bunch of 6000 and Xenix docs, and can't find this error. What does hard error BE10 indicate while trying to read a diskette? OS is Xenix 3.2.

I suspect an alignment problem with this drive. It will format, read and write perfectly, but has problems reading disks written on other drives.

Thanks, Pete. Is the floppy decode table the same as the hard drive table? 0xBE sort of makes sense except for bit 3, which is marked as 'undefined'

Good point, Mike. From the System III XENIX Information guide found in the archive: "For the floppy drive, the data displayed is the drive select port and the FDCstatus port."
