Anyone experienced these back in the day? I was born a little bit later, so I made myself a replica.... and a Windows driver definition to go with it.
At 300bps, the OS quickly loses patience :)

Yes, I grew up using an acoustic coupler with the 'internet' of the time (dial up bulletin boards).

Acoustic couplers were a mainstay for years on TDDs (electronic TTYs used by the deaf; these used BAUDOT, a holdover from the old mechanical TTYs that were first converted for deaf people in the 1960s).
