Hi all it's a change of machine from Pet's at the moment to an Amiga 2000 that's driving me mad!
I have used it and all appears to be working fine, except the expansion ports.

I have a gvp hc+8 hard drive card with 2mb memory and an xt bridgeboard installed.
I have tried to use the install disks and when I use GVP Info icon it tests the chips (denise, workbench and roms etc) but when I
go to the boards heading it does not have any visible.

I have checked out the autoconfig circuit and that appears to work ok.
Could a faulty Buster stop the expansion slots working. oh and should an Amiga
still work with the the Buster chip removed?(I removed it just to see and it still boots up normally)

Any ideas would be appreciated!!

Which ROM version?

Do you know for sure both cards work?

One bad card, or, one or two totaling more than 8M of address space can cause all cards to malfunction or not work at all.

Which ROM version?

It's on workbench 1.3 and I am unsure of the cards to be honest but I have tried two gvp hc+8 and both don't work,
so I could be just unlucky and have two bad cards or the bus isn't working.

The Amiga is totally stock with no accelerators etc and 1M memory. (the GVP card has 2M memory)

Should the Amiga work with buster removed and am I right Buster controls the cards?

I should also ask what rev motherboard is it?

I think prior to rev 5 Buster didn't do much. But I don't remember.
