Seagate product manual

ST251/ST251 R/ST277R

So, I think I have found another ghosted model hard drive ... I can find no proof of existence on this one, ie: no product photos or reports of anyone having one... unless you have one? Do you have the elusive ST-251R anyone? Let me know.

Specs were 820 cylinders, 4 heads, RLL 26 sectors per track.

Most interesting. We will line it up with the ST-206 and the ST-278R and maybe some others.

I have several 251's, just not the -R.

I'd wager heavily, the R would stand for "RLL certified". Or something along those lines.

I remember selling those..
Cost reduced version of the 251 with 1 less platter and 2 less heads. (RLL vs MFM)

So you might be the first person to confirm the existence of this drive! You actually sold 251R models? Got any still new ones out back? haha
