The serial number on the case does not mean anything if the main board inside is not original. If this Apple II was ever in a shop for repair, it may have gotten a new main board. Date codes visible on the pcb and on the chips already showing that either your story being the first owner and owning it since late 1977 (or was it Christmas 1978? :rolleyes: ) is made-up, or you just don't remember any repairs / board swaps that happened to it.

Yes, it will, as it will prove that the main board isn't a rev.0.
