You might considering reworking the PCB silkscreen to use more conventional IC labeling like 'IC4' or 'U4'.

Was there some particular reason to go with such an odd naming scheme? It's pretty strange to have a 'UB3' and a 'UA4'...

I.e. the form of 'Uxn' where x is a letter (A-Za-z) and n is a number (0-9).

UC (especially with a lowercase mu) is a common shorthand for microcontroller and sometimes schematics use a scheme like IC4A to denote each logic gate of an integrated circuit containing 2, 4, 6, or 8 such gates.

Well, I priced out the components listed on that page. Bottom line is it doesn't come out much cheaper then the eBay prices unless you happen to have all these components laying around already.

Like I always say, why buy something when you could make it yourself half as good for three times the price!
