Hello,

The Yukon Archives have a number of Bernoulli disks that they'd like to archive the contents of, but they don't have a Bernoulli Box available to them to access the contents. Some of the staff there know about my interest in vintage hardware and asked if I knew of any way they could read the disks. I don't have a box either so I'm coming here to see if anyone might be able to help out. Being located in Canada is a plus as it would simplify any legal issues with accessing the data (I haven't spoken with them about the contents, I just know that there can be issues with government departments and data crossing the border). British Columbia or Alberta would be even better for shipping or travel.

Please let me know if you'd be able to help out with accessing these Bernoulli disks.

(Also, if someone has an 8" floppy drive they're willing to sell inexpensively, I'd be interested in that as well, as both the Archives any myself have some 8" disks we'd like to access.)

I have both 5.25" drives (up to 230mb) and an 8" drive (I think it's a 10 + 10?) here, but I'm not looking to sell them as it took me far too long to find all the hardware to make them work. Since I am in your geographic neck of the woods though I'm not in opposition to loan the hardware out for the archival work as long as I get it back.
Same goes for the 8" floppy. I have a siemens drive here that I've not fully tested yet but I'm also willing to loan out with cabling adapters.

The Archives have 8" 10mb Bernoulli disks. Can you private message me your information and we can coordinate?
