Hi all, new user here. I have an HP Omnibook 6000, serial # TW02206572 with BIOS Phoenix 4.0 Release 6.0, Build time 5/15/00 10:20:02, version EA.M1.02 that I need a BIOS update for. Its getting an EEPROM error message upon bootup as follows:
Error: EEPROM panel data does not match dip switch settings. LCD panel will not be turned on until mismatch is corrected. If a new panel with different switch settings has been installed, then a program must be run to update EEPROM to match new panel. Press F1 to continue...
There is no new LCD panel, but there is some damage to the right hinge, tho Im sure that's not the problem. Does anyone know where I can get the BIOS update for this laptop? Im hoping that might solve the problem. I got this laptop from ebay and have already had to solve some issues with a BIOS password. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
