I would like you to replace all the original ROMs into their correct locations, except UD9 which should stay as 000039DB ROM. Put the original UD9 ROM into socket UD5 (I presume that is empty)

Take a photo of all the ROMs and the count down page

OK @daver2 fair comment... I'll let you drive for a while then... INDIGO should checksum all the ROMs again. I hadn't appreciated but maybe the ROMs can be verified in the OP's Programmer anyway?

Anyway... concerning Configuration HOTEL. Please take a photo of all the ROM slots.... I would like to see what we have!

Also. please confirm this is 000039DB ROM ( actually I see DD67... and UD9.bin shows F=DD67 )

Let the count go to zero.... and see what happens...

39DB is the checksum for the ‘magic’ XYZZY ROM, not the PETTESTER, so this is a human error.

I think DD67 is correct (from memory).

Show a photograph of the PETTESTER screen with the ROM checksums and then after a few passes of the full memory test.

I am on the way out of the door for an hour or so.

Replace UD9 with a ROM containing UD9_bodge.bin (post 374) this should have a checksum 0005BA4E

Then show the photo again... some checksums should change

Unfortunately i don't have ud9 bodge because i finished my 2532 eprom..i have some 2732 but.......

The checksum is shown in the INDIGO screenshot. That's the wrong number. In fact the checksum displayed is the same as in HOTEL when the edit ROM wasn't even in place. EIther the ROM is dead, or the UD8 socket is dead or both.
