Hi —

I have a collection of vintage computers that I've been amassing since the mid 1990s, and I think it's time to let it go. The computers are located near Boston, and the collection includes:

- Apple Lisa with ProFile 5mb drive: Doesn't have the original mouse, was running as a Mac XL before the ProFile stopped working
- All the original Lisa 7/7 3.5-inch floppies, binders, and manuals including LisaWrite, LisaDraw, etc.
- Epson QX10 with original monitor, and a few VALDOCS floppies
- Kaypro 16 — Kaypro's DOS machine
- Acorn BBC Micro with a floppy drive
- Sinclair ZX Spectrum - With original box, AND a Sinclair ZX Microdrive
- Tandy 1000 EX
- TRS-80 Model 100
- TI 99 4/A
- Commodore 64 and VIC 20 and Atari 800-series cartridges and software

There's a bunch more stuff, including software and hardware, and I'll get photos if you send me requests. Pricing is really best offer here — I have no idea how much these things could sell for, and I put a number in the selling price because I had to, and I saw each individual Lisa 7/7 binder going for $400 on eBay and Lisas going in the thousands. But I'd give you a discount if you took it all off my hands at once.

LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.

- Keith

Would you consider selling individual systems?

I think that question might help users that aren’t interested in everything you’ve listed.

This is quite the nitpick but 7/7 refers to Lisa Office System v3, and it appears that the manuals and disks you have are for Office System v2. There's nothing wrong with that; in fact, it's kinda nice that v2 will run on both Twiggy and 3.5" drive Lisas. 7/7 only supports the latter.

I can also see that your Lisa has the 800k floppy drive modification.

My memory is fuzzy here, but I seem to remember that without the associated ROM, an 800k drive in a Lisa looks and acts like a single sided drive. The other side of the disk is ignored. With the ROM, however, it won't work at all under Lisa, but only in Macworks. Please correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a long time
:)

Thank you for the correction! Over the years, I've forgotten more than I know.

So, yes, it is a Lisa 2 with a 800k drive. It was last running Mac System Software off the ProFile, but it showed a Lisa error message when the ProFile was disconnected.

And yes, the manuals and disks are for Office System v2.

Updating this: I'm hoping to get $4,000 for the whole lot, including the Lisa and software, local pickup only.

I bought it from a used computer store around 1995. I think it was Harvest Computers in Cambridge, MA. Back then I used to scour the classifieds and call through the yellow pages, looking for vintage computers for sale. If I recall correctly, this was one of the few models that was imported directly to the US as a US-spec model, and it was likely used in a classroom.

Hi,

How much were you thinking for the Vic-20 & the other software?

Thanks
Bobby
