Connecting Ti-74 to PC

Hello, i was wondering if there is a good way to connect a Texas Instruments TI-74 to PC with serial port to send/receive data from it. Can somebody explain how i can make a hexbus to serial adapter for it? Im not very good at electronics, but i know how to solder simple things like cables or adapters. I don't want a response with full documentation pdf about ti-74 hexbus port, i just want a simple explanation.

The standard TI-74 PC interface cable connected the Dockbus to a PC's parallel port. IIRC, the cable wasn't cheap; somewhere north of $50 at the time.

Here's a schematic. You'll also have to find the PC software for it.
