Have any of you ever opened up a Conner drive like this one? Basically I think it has spindle stiction. If I take the drive out and shake it gently while it's trying to init it will spin up.. but always reverts to getting stuck after sitting a while. I read you could sometimes alleviate the problem by adding a drop of 3 in 1 oil to the spindle shaft.. but the way this drive is put together is kind of weird.. it'd like the heads, platters and motors are sealed in a plastic tub. I see a couple of tiny Allen head screws but nothing else really to open it with. Just wondering if anyone else has messed with these.
