Very nice PS/2 lineup. A Model 30-286 with 4 MB on the planar and an 80287 is already in great shape, and the XT-IDE + CH375 setup is a smart way to keep it usable while the original HDD is down. The Buffalo 286-to-486 boards are always tempting, but yeah, clearance on the 30-286 is tight that RTC placement gets in the way more often than not.

I have a 30-286 planar on the way. I am not sure if it functions, but I might put it in the 25 if it does work. I would have to make a riser and splice the 5-pin power for 16-bit ISA. Ideally, I would like to find a 25-286, but it might just be easier to convert this one.

The 20 MB HDD is working. Started with 40 KiB of bad sectors, formatting took it to 10 KiB, and scandisk brought it to up 12 KiB. I will be putting a Model 30-286 planar in it this evening. I won't have worry about making or finding a riser as I have installed PC-DOS 2000 on the HDD. So I won't need the XT-IDE right away.
Nothing cool on the HDD. It had MS-DOS 5.0 and WordPerfect 5.1. No user files Config.sys was last edited in 1994.
