Dead TRS-80 Model III - what could be wrong?

[Last year] I started running a simple BASIC program (displaying memory locations as char) on my TRS-80 Model III when suddenly the screen went blank. I tried to Break, then reset, then power off & wait & power on. The screen remained blank.

This TRS-80 has no drives. There's no indicator LED to show that the computer is on, so I don't know if the computer is dead or just the screen. I noticed that when you turn it off, there's a flash on the screen from the CRT electron gun - so the screen isn't completely dead.

I opened it up, but don't see any visible signs of burnout or blown fuse or anything. Is there something I could check or test?

First thing might be to check the fuse in the main power supply using a meter. Don't forget to unplug the computer first! If it's good check fuse on the video board which is attached to the upper part of the case. If those are good then could be mainboard or something else. Let us know what the fuse outcome is.
