DEC units on ebay

I'm sure they will deal, the stuff takes up space. But I really cannot see a reason to get an 11/44, no matter how cool they are with their supervisor mode and all.....

Oh, I dunno, if you wanted a Unibus 11, it's not a bad choice. Relatively compact, with 2/3 the performance of an 11/70, 22 bit addressing and available relatively cheaply. If I hadn't downsized to Qbus of late, I'd consider getting one. I'd vastly prefer one to an 11/34 or 11/45.

Please, what do you think of this ad?
This is half the price of other vendors and the CPU is graded at 18MHz.
I expect that if 467 people bought this CPU, a significant number of the buyers would inhabit this forum among others.

Some people just buy them as collectables.

The ones from that seller are among the last J-11 CPUs made - if you look at the white substrate, you'll see a Harris logo and a 98xx date code. They are from around the time of Compaqtion and I think they were "contractual obligation" CPUs for OEM customers like Mentec, and left over when those customers switched to their own CPU designs. If Compaq didn't have any real interest in Alpha (see Alphacide) , they certainly didn't have any interest in PDP-11s.

Not on eBay but rather over in the MarketPlace, but a very nice system for those with the room and the $$$. It really belongs in a museum.

Cool item, but that's the boards that went INTO an RK06/RK07, it is NOT the Unibus controller.

Kind of neat to be reminded that the RK07 could be dual ported.

“Used, old. In good cosmetic condition, HAS NOT BEEN TESTED. Monitor has condensation spots.” No bidding. Just BuyItNow. No returns. LMFAO
Judging by the BIN price of $6,577.99, those must be some real L@@K! RARE! cataracts in the CRT.

"condensation spots" - I hadn't head that euphemism before. ".. someone .. could likely disassemble and clean those easily." .. but the free shipping makes up for it.
