i picked up a Tandy WP-1011 last weekend at the local GoodWill, for a tiny amount of $7.00 CDN.

i think the machine probably had less than 15 minutes of use when it was first opened, probably a test print and that's it. the thing is in such great shape, box, manual, ribbon, etc.. there was still packing tape on the thing!

this is only the second dedicated word processor i have ever used (first one being a smith corona back in 1990 or so), but one thing that it has in common with the Tandy, is that they are so easy to use, and i find them way easier and more intuitive to use than the ones we download onto our computers.

they may not have as many features, but the ease of use i think outweighs having all the bells and whistles.

does anyone else find that dedicated word processors are easier to use?
