DIY Arcade Cab + PCB Art -> HARDWIRED v0.2

Hey! I have finished the bottom portion of this cabinet and am excited to now share pics of the completed v0.2 build!

PC in pics isn't vintage, but it emulates vintage games fine of course, like Defender which is one of the earliest I remember playing.

The logo ceramic tiles I made - actually I'll change out the Tetris, Atari, and Sega when the Gauntlet, Galaga, and Mortal Kombat tiles are done. The marquee is acrylics. The PCBs are mostly from thrift store items and several from a broken flat panel TV.

Lastly, after this build, I don't know how the heck arcade cabinets were built on an assembly line and of any quality?! This took me an embarrassing number of hours to finish but I am very happy with it so it's all good! Maybe v0.3 includes a bigger monitor, though that Lenovo does 1280 and looks good up close.

I'm pretty sure it's 4:3 (not at home as I write this). And the PCBs are decorative. To me as an artist that's a compliment that you asked; thank you. These builds are pretty fun!

If they are decorative than that is a really beautiful art piece. Might be a gigantic pain in the ass to dust but really makes it look cool. If you'd said they were functional I'd have been a touch worried.

I don't know why but screens always look bigger in pictures to me. I'd really love to know what size screen that is.

As for dusting/blowing, I use an electric handheld blower that works great! It is the Airtec Ultra Type 6. I saw Neil on RMC on YouTube using one like this and latched onto it.

The Lenovo ThinkVision is about 17" diagonal, with 13.3" wide and 10" high approximately. So 4:3. It has the max resolution of 1280x1024. Works well up close as in this setup!
