sorry.. they took that one down quickly. it was a laptop. a gateway 3520.

final bid was $10,099. it seems that maybe someone (actually two someones)
wanted to ensure that they won that particular auction so at the last minute
(snipers) they both made absurdly high bids.

and at least one of the snipers had a feedback score of 81 and probably was
not a prankster. i am always suspicious of bidders with very low feedback
scores.
is there a lesson to be learned here?

lol, that's why that stupid autobidding scares the crap out of me. I don't want a malfunctioning webapp to bid war itself.
