The pretentiously named InterPlanetary File System can make it really easy to ensure that content isn't lost. Content is cached for a while after it is retrieved, but It's enough for existing content to be "pinned" for your local instance of ipfs to mirror it forever. If pinning a directory (such as the root of a website), everything gets recursively pinned.
Adding content to ipfs is quite easy. Let's add, share and pin content we care about to ensure it isn't lost! I'll start:

* Total Hardware 1999 (library of hardware specs/pinouts/jumpers/etc): https://ipfs.io/ipfs/Qmd6wXYYzqeS8CikCXBK4PFfmFyBZnF9nxiwSdjAHqG9rC/
* Reciprocality (The Programmers' Stone/M0/etc): https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmSxqrrwUc5hQbyEtMSeF8FKfsWDuvcyUdFEeHXtjxhQgL/

If you care about these, pin them!
