Hi,
On HX-20 platform , I meet some problems on RS232 communication with hardware flow control.
I search the internet I found it can transmit Basic code from windows system to with txd、rxd and GND on 300bps. I test it and it works OK but it is too slow.
And somebody test HX-20 can receive basic code on 4800bps but the term software setting the delay of character is 10ms.
So actually the speed of transmit is also very low.
Based on all the experiments above, my idea is whether it is possible to achieve true 4800 baud serial transmission with hardware flow control.
I made some try but all the results is fall, so I need help from all of you.
I'm confused about the following questions.
1)connection between windows PC and HX-20 RS232 DIN 8 connection
I refer the following website:
https://www.pjspot.com/hx-20/cable-construction/

"Obviously, in this design, the CTS and RTS lines are connected together and also tied to the other side’s DCD pin. This looks very strange.
Normally, we cross-connect the CTS and RTS lines between two devices to implement hardware flow control, but here they are shorted together? That seems odd.
The DSR and DTR lines of the two devices are cross-connected, which seems normal.
"Based on the above hardware wiring setup, I guess the intention here is to implement hardware flow control using DSR and DTR. This seems feasible. However,
the question is: which terminal software should be used on Windows? Tera Term? Also, in the HX-20's LOAD command, how should the serial parameters be configured?"
