Now that I got your attention. I need to start getting back some of my warehouse space. I've been looking at these three pieces in sadness for several years. I'm not sure how best to move them out. Since I've been lovingly storing them for a decade or so, I'd like to get something that is fair, considering their condition. As I said, fire sale. This is how they showed up in my warehouse in San Carlos, CA a long time ago.

Obviously everything has been smoke tested.
There are a total of three racks as pictured. The racks don't roll around that well, but can be encouraged with enough force.
I have more pictures but I probably need to find another place to store them since I'm limited to 256k bytes per picture here.
Thanks all and stay healthy,
dale

Did the 11/45 have a metal frame around the panel? If so that was a pretty bad fire. If not it can probably be repaired.

Let me guess, these were seriously overclocked.

If I lived a lot closer (I'm in Ohio), that 11/70 is right up my alley. I have a full board set, backplane, front panel, and bezel. I've been looking for an empty BA11-F for a while.

Does it power-on? :)

Chips that got that hot, only good for chip collectors.

It is my belief that the main source of heat was in front of the cabinets, resulting in the melted panels and stuff. Although I think there are plenty of toggle switches and other parts on the 11/70 panel that can be saved. I'm heading to warehouse tomorrow and will take some more pictures and upload them. I have 2 arcade games, Ramtek's Dark Invader, for those curious, arriving from east coast that I need to make room for at warehouse. There is some space in the aisle I can use, but I need a more permanent solution.
And there is more stuff in the warehouse I plan on selling off.
cheers all

By trashing it, I presume you don't mean dropping it off at the metal recyclers, but spend the time to inventory parts that can be salvaged and then sell them off. Although I'm retired now, I actually don't have the time to do that as I have a lot of other projects I'm working on and the wife is wondering why I'm busier now than when I was working fulltime. So I prefer to sell the cabinets either as is.

The PDP 11/70 and PDP 11/45 cabinets have been sold. The third cabinet with the melted possibly 11/34 chassis and two additional extension chassis is still available. The 11/34 chassis is really toasted with all boards having damage, front panel as you can see is nearly unrecognizable.
The two bottom chassis however have very little damage, but they only have serial communication boards in them.
Middle chassis:
slots 1-6: M7807,M7836,M7837,M7838,M7839,M7839
7,8: empty
9: M7147, M920
10: M920
11: M7807

17: M5906,M7280
18-19: M7288,M7279
20-21: M920
22: M7819
A couple of the fascia plastic pieces are slightly damaged

Bottom chassis only has 1/2 backplane.
1-6: M7807,M7836,M7837,M7838,M7839,M7839
7: empty
8: M7147
There are a couple large ribbon cables coming from a couple boards coming out. Although the ribbon cables appear undamaged, the end connectors were cut off.
This chassis also has a couple pieces of plastic slightly warped on the front.

There is also a power distribution on the bottom which looks in ok condition.
I'm asking $350 for the entire cabinet, must pick up here in SFBA.
I'll upload a couple more pictures of this cabinet sometime today.

Dropping price to $300 for the last rack and all contents. Pick up in San Carlos, California.
Added some additional info.

The middle/lower chassis' hardware don't appear damaged by fire as only the upper part of the 19" rack seemed to have been affected by fire.

The DEC Power Control Unit 861C on the bottom of the rack in the back appears to be in good shape.
Everything is as is, no warranty. I tried to describe it all as best as I can. Nothing plugged in or tested.

The boards in the middle and bottom chassis don't appear to have any damage. The metal chassis' do not appear damaged. There is some rust. They chassis' slide in and out of the 19" rack.
