Could it be due to the "./" you have in front of the file name? Are you running this with "sudo"?

The ./ is a path reference to the file, that's not it. Not running with sudo, because the permissions on the ttyUSB port are open (chmod). If you don't do that, you get an error.

I have seen the "./" confuse programs before. Was just a thought. I don't know enough about tu58fs to guess further.

Hoping it may shed some light on the RX50 & that floppy emulator .
I just remembered this set of conversations , about the software used in the emulator , Discussion , Go to near the bottom to see a patch snhirsch - Steven Hirsch had used .
